The annual Holidays for Little Huskers event is seeking group and individual donors to help brighten the holidays and provide a little something extra for the children of University of Nebraska–Lincoln students.
Departments, student organizations, Greek chapters, as well as individuals and community groups are welcome to participate. Donors will be matched with one (or more) child’s wish list, which includes an item to wear, item to read, item wanted and an item needed.
Those interested in sponsoring a child can sign up through Oct. 31.
This year, Holidays for Little Huskers will fulfill wishes for 150 children. So far, 49 donor groups are confirmed; at least 40 additional donors are still needed.
Since 2023, the generosity of 230 donors has benefited 115 UNL students by fulfilling the gift wishes for 331 children.
