The ghost-with-the-most is making his way to the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Lied Center for Performing Arts. The Tony-nominated musical “Beetlejuice” will take over the Lied Center from March 4-9, as part of the 2024-25 Glenn Korff Broadway Series.

Based on Tim Burton’s iconic 1988 film, “Beetlejuice” follows Lydia Deetz, a goth teen with a fascination for the afterlife. When she stumbles upon a recently deceased couple and an eccentric demon with a flair for chaos, her world turns upside down — literally. Featuring a hilariously twisted script, stunning visuals and a surprisingly heartfelt message about love and family, “Beetlejuice” has captivated audiences nationwide.

The musical’s original Broadway run became a viral sensation, thanks in part to TikTok, where fans propelled it to record-breaking success. Songs like “Say My Name” and “The Whole ‘Being Dead’ Thing” have gained millions of streams worldwide, proving that “Beetlejuice” is no ordinary ghost story — it’s a full-blown phenomenon.

Tickets for the show at the Lied start at $29, with youth tickets available at half price. Learn more about tickets on the Lied Center website or call 402-472-4747.
