The Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor will host New Faculty Orientation on Aug. 19 at Nebraska Innovation Campus. The event is designed to help new faculty establish long careers at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln by providing information and resources that will help set them up for success.
Faculty interested in attending should register online by Aug. 11.
The day will begin with a resource fair featuring 30 campus and community vendors who will help new faculty connect with resources and services across the university and the broader Lincoln community.
After a welcome from campus leaders, sessions will focus on teaching and supporting student success, research and creative activity, community engagement, and shared governance. A panel of faculty from different colleges will offer tips on navigating the first years of their faculty appointment, and the day will end with a networking social.
