
Nancy Lewandowski, 57, an account manager who worked for 18 years at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, died Jan. 11 in Lincoln.
Lewandowski served the university community for 18 years in various accounting-related roles. Areas she supported in the work include University Housing, AVE Business Center, Nebraska Innovation Campus and the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources Business Center.
She was born Dec. 29, 1967, in Buffalo, New York, to Raymond and Barbara (Graves) Lewandowski. She was multi-talented, having earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance, and a Bachelor of Science in accounting.
Family and friends remember Lewandowski for her kindness and humor.
Lewandowski is survived by her mother, Barbara; brother, John Lewandowski, of San Francisco; sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Scott Gardner, of Lincoln; a niece and three nephews, Teal, Hudson, Grant and Clark; an uncle; aunts; many cousins; and her beloved cat, Jet.
Interment will be at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. A celebration of life will be announced. Donations in Lewandowski’s memory can be made to a charity of choice.
