Nebraska Athletics will host a retirement celebration for Steve Torske, grounds crew supervisor for the athletic department, from 3 to 5 p.m. Feb. 21 on the West Stadium Club's third level.
As grounds supervisor, Torske managed all of the grass fields and the field turf at Memorial Stadium. He also assisted with event setup at all of Nebraska's athletic facilities, including the Bob Devaney Sports Center, Hibner Soccer Stadium, Ed Weir Track and Field and NU Coliseum.
Torske has dedicated 30 years to serving athletics and is a 1985 Husker alumnus.
