TRIO Programs to host 5K on March 1

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln's TRIO Programs will host a 5K (3.1 mile) run/walk with food and games from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 1 at the City Union. The event is open to the public, and the race will start at 10:30 a.m.

TRIO Programs are federally funded outreach programs that offer academic, social, cultural and financial support for first-generation college students and underserved scholars both at the institution and within Lincoln Public Schools.

The event will be on the plaza north of the Nebraska Union.
