Matthew Gormley’s research focuses on students at-risk for, or diagnosed with, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). More specifically, he is interested in non-pharmacological interventions that foster collaboration among families, schools, and healthcare settings to support students across these settings. His most recent work has involved evaluating outcomes for college students with ADHD at both community colleges and four-year schools. His other areas of expertise include behavioral intervention, consultation, family-school collaboration, and pediatric school psychology. Gormley also serves on the Public Policy Committee of Children and Adults with ADHD (CHADD), which is the largest national organization for individuals with ADHD. (Updated August 2025).
