Bio

Ajai Ammachathram has over 25 years of experience within the food and beverage industry, including serving airline passengers, students in college dining halls, patients in hospitals and more. He is a Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE) from the American Hotel and Lodging Association Educational Institute. Ammachathram specifically works to improve Nebraska food service professionals’ knowledge of best practices, increase culinary and management skills among college students, and enhance the public-school food service program to provide balanced dietary intake and improve the health of children. He also serves as president of the Central Council on Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Education (CHRIE). (Updated July 2025)

Bio

Vernetta Kosalka is a Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE) from the American Hotel and Lodging Association Educational Institute with over 25 years of experience. She is also a Level 1 Certified Hospitality and Culinary Arts Instructor through the National Restaurant Association and American Culinary Federation. Her areas of expertise include hospitality management, event planning management, guest services management, hospitality curriculum development, small business and entrepreneurship development and more. She also serves as the vice president on the board of the Central Federation of the International Council of Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education (ICHRIE). (Updated July 2025)
