The weather disturbance that is predicted to impact the central plains on Feb. 2 is shown here east of Japan (near the "A") on Jan. 27. Some forecasting models predict the weather system will deliver 12-plus inches of snow in the region (Lincoln is near the "B"). However, UNL's Ken Dewey said it is simply too early to accurately predict the storm path or how much — if any — precipitation it will bring.
