Students participate in the parking riot of 1948. The riot started due to a lack of on-campus parking spaces. The riot started after student veterans, recently returned from World War II, confronted police who were ticketing cars that were double parked on streets. The police responded with tear gas. The students ended up marching around campus before parading down O Street in their cars.
